About

A river-town supplier

Jeremiah Kirby is a wholesale clothing and accessories business run by Jeremiah from Echuca, Victoria, on the southern bank of the Murray River.

The business supplies independent stores with clothing and accessories at wholesale prices: shirts and linen, outerwear and workwear, knitwear, hats, bags and leather goods.

It works by correspondence. Stores write in, Jeremiah replies with what can be supplied and a written quote, and nothing is sent until the store agrees. It is an old-fashioned way of doing business, and a clear one.

Echuca sits where the Campaspe meets the Murray, a few minutes from the New South Wales border. Freight to stores elsewhere in Australia is quoted with each order.
